But let me tell you something about me, I have been a pc user,mobile phone is a htc HD 2. So I’m not really into the fruit machines.
I can’t help it but using the iPad,is somewhat relaxing. Because it simply works Otb. No hassle with drivers or install programs and remembering where you put the shit. No more start menu over cluttered with programs.
This review is written on the iPad totally !
Let’s compare it with a net book. For example typing a document. You have to use the friction small keyboard and the mousepad to navigate. And if it is a large document it’s a hassle to work with.
Internet on your average net book is nice, but it won’t ever fit on a small screen. So reading is too small and you find yourself scrolling all the time. I mean that just is no fun.
The iPad, scrolling is just plain simple using your fingers, typing is on the on screen keyboard, and it works like a dream with multitouch. Im going to type this review in one or even more segments. As in more days of usage.
now after one week of daily usage, im am still in awe.
One Major reason is THE battery, om guessing but i thing in one week i did charge THE device only two times ! You can use THE iPad for almost ten hours straight. And as for standby ,.. Well Thatcher eould even be more.
Big Apple….
Mr jobs did à good job at THE iPad, but THE went à little over THE edge with the Apple philosophy.
Only Apple works on Apple
not with internet tethering
make IT as Lockes down as posible for THE end user
IT Does DRM
note, i do respect THE mindset oof THE Apple inc. But i want my my iPad to be mine as i like IT to be. not THE way Apple likes IT to be.

So i had no other option to jailbreaking IT, downgrade from The basterd 3.2.2 version to 3.2.1.
now IT works like i want It too. Change more, add more.
Right,,

Now when you bought an iPad you had à choice. Get à 3G version or just à plain ol wifi version. I chose latter.
Why you asl, now really in dont need 3G on my iPad because i do have IT on my phone. So the forst step would be Bluetooth but Apple decided we cantate have à personal area network (pan) goin on.
just imagine THE dangers if they did enable IT !!!!
Lucky for us iPad users, The iPad has wifi. So using wifirouter or just THE newer 6.5based roms on xda developer you Will find a tool That will share your Internet connection ..
So it’s relatively easy to get your 3G Internet on the iPad.
The best thing is,, eventually. That you don’t even have to jailbreak the iPad.

Dyson, the man who can.
I was browsing the net and I stumbled upon..

A Fan without blades, and it`s amazing to see it work.
And the aesthetics of it, just stunning.

So below, in the base of it is a fan with Blades.
Suckin air up and blowing it into the ring.
Where it leaves the ring thru a small opening along the ring.
Taking air in your surrounding with it, creating a really powerful swoosh of air

Everything, I mean every did work. Exept receiving from external domains.
Once at home I tried it all. Sending internally < that worked
But NO.. I dint received anything from external domains.

I checked the logs, nothing there relating to this mofo of a problem.
I re-inited the DNS service, and the port redirector.
Changed the “receive connector” to listen on another port.
Still no luck.

What is this problem and why does this happen ??
I slowly began to think back in loving memory of the Apache/Sendmail thing.
And what a marvel it is, to maintain and to troubleshoot.

So I got up the server and downloaded the apache server (one that could work on your avg wintel platform)
But, I cant ??
OMG,., now I see why exchange is doing squat.
The pri disk was FULL ??

After cleaning up. IT WORKED again.

I know,.,. this Is shameful a #Fail for me

And come on ,.,. solved it dint I ,.,.lol

Ive tried it, and after some quirks and some “get used toos”
I love this thing…

As soon as I got the message from the store I practically flew there to get the thing.
Payd too much (I know) But I wanted it.

I was playing with it, and well you got to love the screen and the capacitive thing.
After hours days playing there I noticed on tiny #fail #flaw

It was called windows mobile 6.1
It slows the hardware of this device and it was not “finger friendly”

Let me sum the problems.
It freezes on me
the On screen keyboard was horrible, inaccurate. It took me really long to reply a text message.

And after using it, well you do get bored of the weather animation. (yeah I know I turned it off)
But I noticed with the original stock rom. It was not responsive and choppy sometimes.

I never knew what that was.
After playing with some roms on the XDA forum, I noticed my device was getting better ?
Faster responsive.
What the ,.,. was that ??

Finally I wiped the device doing a FULL “task 29″ and started to update the radio.
To 2.09.50.29_2
This one wasn’t recommended With the NL versions. But we aught to try.
Then a rom ?? I like a stable rom with some eyecandy.
So I used the LEON rom series. And OMG I really got the phone I wanted !!

The onscreen keyboard is near enuff perfect, I won`t do the typeO ever again.
Ifs fast and looks alright.

The fact that this rom is perfect imho. Because of>
Its got the taskmanager (the normal nice one)
So multitasking will work !

Thanks to the cookie hometab, the HTC sence ui is customizable.
Meaning ? you can click and drag items (like the clock) and move em around)

And thanks to the big screen it’s a joy to read your favorite pdf books on.
Thanks to the ADOBE acrobat REFLOW function, it just Reformats the text of a book nicely onto that big screen.

The Camera.
Well phones with a camera have come a long way since. I remember the time that I got this nokia 7910.
With a camera. It was one of the first phones with a cam. And it was crap.

The HD2 has a 5 Mp cam so on superfine (with the + 5 Mp tweak as seen on XDA developers)
Well its Awsome.

And as you all know my opinion of the fruit phone and that would be more like a toy phone.
And a toy phone isn’t bad at all. The Iphone is perfect as it is.

And some people always have to compare the two phones.
Iphone is cool out of the box and it works. Most WMX devices need some tweaking before they do what they are supposed to.

And That is where the HD2 has its charmes, Its weird but you have to be in charge of what you want with it.

Battery live.

Some special people (I call em idiots) still used to the uselessness of a nokia 3210 like phone.
A phone that has this crazy standby time of exceeding one week.

They begin whining on forums.
Don’t like HD2 it only last one or two days.
My (crap) device does 6 days. “whatever”

HDC devices WINmo are like little laptops.
And FULL SCREEN video / Stereo Music / WIFI / NAME IT you got it !
And does the device you got over there, does it do all of that ??

And Call me stupid but smartphones or whatever are just small laptops and you can make em do as a phone too !

And it is kind of silly to complain about battery life, of two days.
Try to charge it .,. when you do sleep. Problems solved. I am amazing.

And If you get one.. or a “what ever” phone with a LI ION battery Charge it the first time us use it for a couple of hours.
Remember when you connect it to your pc “USB” that it is 500 mAh. So charging and syncing gets slow.
For better charging use the provided charger ( 1000 mAh ) so that would charge better and quicker.

CARkit ??

There is this great car kit available for the HD2.
It does the charging gooseneck thing at once.
As I do like it.

It does NOTHING. You have to remove the back cover of your phone and replace it with one with a hole or something.
So that it will charge the phone. And it will go automatically to the NAVI screen.

What the.. Is a NAVI screen ??
Nothing special what so ever, It’s a GUI that starts up as soon as you hook the CARkit up.
With large Buttons (so you really can,t miss) Aww and this idea could be so nice. But the guys over at htc thought everyone uses google maps all the time or footprints.
So the NAViscreen . is crap for me.
I use Copilot.. NL version.

This carkit will cost you a hefty 80 euros.
I Got An ACTIVE carkit for 15 euros !!

You know the SUCK windshield thingies. A cable with a 3.5 jack plug.
Hook it up to My AUX on the car stereo, plug in the USB.
Now I play music on the phone, that goes on to my car stereo.
And If you decide to call me. The sound will mute and we can speak HANDSFREE.
(Im lovin it)

Marketplace

Really ,.. wouldn’t it be great to have all that same shit Iphone has on the marketplace too?
Be real, aint gonna happen anytime soon.
Windows phone /WinMO games still suck.

And the marketplace .. Ist better in any view.
Just a few apps and the usability level would be sub zero.
A friend told me that MS plans to integrate with Xbox live marketplace.
I really don’t see why it would be better then.

And ive seen the early release with windows phone they just HAD to make a new MARketplace.
And look … It’s a new UI. But the insides still says crap.
But… you don’t buy a WINmo device because of its plethora of games and usable apps. At least I don’t.

I know it is Fun to have a lightsaber fight with some friend using only your phone. But then again #USELESS
Im the simple guy, I just wanna see my pictures and make a call, upload shit pics n vids. Get email and directions.
Read boos on it, play music.

And the things above that I really really desire in a phone. Gues what ?? The HD2 does a pretty good job at it.

The HD2 is not just a smartphone (like most of the HTC devices) Its more much more.
Therefore this phone is not for your average sms/call type of phone user. They would HATE it.
Options and buttons to touch would be a disaster for the average user.
And A WINmo device can do. Just remember CAN DO. And It would be good if you get into the winmo first and knew what you did before you got this one.
Then only then you could appreciate the hardware.

I did some work on it After I got the phone, new roms new radio teaks and everything.

So if you get this one, be prepared to get your hands dirty.
But IT IS WORTH IT

As I am in love with this device. Im not the person to give it a review and rate it.
It works for me and it is the best Ive had (HTC for ever)

In the beginning there was Pocket PC 2000 (rapier) and from there it went wrong

As intended (rapier) pocket pc was needed to keep up with palm and other competitors.
And it was good ! Seriously. You could do what it was supposed to.
Write emails then later sync with your pc to actually send em. Then after that we all got a major update pocket pc 2002.
(merlin) And was released end 2001. (not 2002 as the name implies)

Again this was some sort of derivation of Windows CE. After two and a half year. We got Windows Mobile 2003.
Almost the same shit, some eye candy and features. And again another derivation of windows ce.

Windows CE is an operating system mostly used in embedded solutions. Solutions like the sega dreamcast.
Note, It is designed for Pocket PCs / small computers not for smartphones in any way. In order for wince to cope with GSM/GPRS some added software makes it possible to run the shit.

Others like android or symbian are os es specifically designed to run a phone.
So it isn`t really hard to see where the #FAIL lies here.

Well Ms continued with these series totally discarding (smartphones) and the flow of usage in the smartphone market.
And traditionally After the release of windows mobile 2003, they released Windows mobile 2003 SE.
It this version upgrade, os upgrade whatever. Was nothing more that the latter version. But now you had the option To backup your sheit.
This incremental upgrade took Microsoft ONE year to finish. Makes you think doesn’t it. Why the **** does Ms Waste so much time.
But Okay it got better. In 2005 may (magneto) was launched. And while this was a clear rip off from the Marvel commix Character Magneto (remember x-men).
The windows mobile 5 series where quite good, again not native phone support. But it was Awesome. Others had a nokia or whatever and they your dial a number and send/receive sms. I with windows mobile 5 could take over the world !!! With all that power in my pocket. Yess I had a schedule and email thing. It was the bomb.

This was the point that I .(for real) fell in love with Wmobile. Because you could do so much more than with your generic nokia. So windows mobile 5 was a success in my book. (this is asking for hate mail) But times tend to change and they did.

The horror, the dreaded windows mobile 6. The destroyer of perfect phone hardware.
It has names, like the incompatible one, I really don’t know WTF MS was thinking when they released this sheit.

It was released in 2007 did the same as its predecessor, and based on wince 5. Featuring nnew stuff like…

Improved Internet sharing.
We had internet sharing on WM5 and that worked, WTF was there to “improve”
Improved Remote desktop access
Again,, we had that on WM5. Guess what IT WORKED.

And the most Unused service Live UPDATE, What the crap would that be. Like im walking in the middle of the day my phone begins to beep when I look at the screen there is a message saying: Applying update 2of 67 20% done. So I could wait the rest of the day.
Really what was that all about??

At that time Apple came up with a phone ? now that was ridiculous. Please sigh they make fruit computers. And we (PClovers) all wanted to see apple #FAIL. But they dint. It was Amazing there you stood with your overpriced Windows phone loading pictures like crap and playing choppy video. And there was always this arrogant bastard with a fruit phone around showing you How exactly A smartphone should work. And we as in the windows mobile community tried hard to chastise the fruit phone and save what was left of the name and fame of windows mobile.

Sure Wm 6 had its joys and its woohoo`s active sync and exchange support with server search.
But Microsofts knows how to outdo himself.. from the 6 to 6.1 we got a slightly different UI (home screen) threaded sms, and you could enroll in a domain.
Here was that point, that point that us users lost their faith in Ms regarding to phones. Ms had succeeded, we are done with it.

Then came 6.1 and 6.2 wich was supposed to be “fingerfriendly”
A new word that wasn’t supposed to be sexual (but my ex wasindeed “fingerfriendly”)

So what it came down to the screen of the Iphone was capacitive and all the windows phones where resistive.
Microsoft decided to throw in a major update skipping 6.3 and 6.4 and go straigt onwards to 6.5

Can I have an AMEN to that..

Now this was your phone, ugly like hell. Well at least the ui was “fingerfriendly” But when you had to change some settings, you would go back to the ugly bitch called wince. And trying to klick a tienie tiny link with your finger was near to impossible.

So there you where with your 500 dollar phone, expecting you could brag about the features to your friends ?? Well after pushing the WRONG buttons for too many times because the buttons are TOO frickin small time elapses and after half an you managed some kind of moving picture on the screen. GOODY !!!

Windows Mobile 6.5.3
Well as you can see Microsoft decided that we don’t need a taskbar in the upper left corner. Users should now press the lower left corner. Err ??
Some buttos Where in deed bigger with this build of Wm. And you now can do everything with the finger.
But there are some anoyances with that.

Microsoft Claims
Multitouch ~ that would be BS cause HTC sense enables that shit. So ONE finger only.

And .,. as wit ALL the versions of WM, Wont Close the program it would simply mimimizes it.
And actually that IS a great thing, we call it “multitasking”. But Ms dint find it nececairy to build it a descent task manager. So we could actually see what is running.
WM is depending on the hard work of opensource programers and rom cooks at www.xda-developers.com and theymake it usefull and bearable. I mean the hardware of a windows smartphone is just about awesome.

Oh and when the first droid phones came out, still remember ? It was from HTC. And as anyone will know HDC was microsoft exclusive.

The first droid phones (love the os btw) where sad excuses for mobile phones. Hardware was superb. But the outer shell was just plain weird. Most of the time the microphone had this weird angle.
Doesn’t that makes you wonder why windows phones where more pleasing to the eye. They both got almost the same hardware, and the same manufacturer.

So do you think that it could be true ?? Ms told HTC Make the droid phones UGLY and we can do business ? Sounds retarded huh.. But see it like that. Ms knew Droid would come and be superior to WM6.x in any possible way. And they weren’t ready with the 6.5.5 yet.
So if The One and Only Producer (at that time) HTC made droid phones and they looked good. They would not sell a phone AGAIN.

So my best guess it did happen exactly that way…

WHAT NOW ??
After years of debate / problems / frustration. Ms wants to do something good.
They discarded The Windows mobile Name but kept the version number.
It is called windows phone, as if my magic your phone will do things you want it do you.

OK I did NOT tried it yet, but I am willing to….

First of all,.,. its crap.
Why its crap see for yourself. I don’t want my Phone to look like some tiny girly glossy.
I don’t want XBOX live crap. And Im NOT a retard I can read without glasses !!
WTF did they made windows phone for blind people ?? Come on you can see I have 2 missed phone calls. From two miles away. I tend to notice the smaller icons too you know (on wm 6.5)

And wtf is it with Microsoft, they always base their software on other software. Yes it is true. Pocket PC ~ based on win ce then windows mobile ~ based on wince and windows2000 ~based on NT. Why don’t they Make something NEW. Im sure they can spare the recources.
No, windows phone will be based on some crappy MP3 plater. I don’t want that.
I want A cool phone like thing that does those smooth things like the fruit phones does. One that I can show to my friends and they would go AAAAAAAH. But no, Microsoft made windows phone for the disabled and ill sighted folks.
Windows phone when we get our hands on it it wil be by the end of this year. And in my opinion that is TOO late #FAIL. Droid phones are getting better apples new upcoming os 4.x . So even if windows phone is going to be good. Droid and Iphone will be better. They have A dedicated base that is truly designed for a phone. Not a sega dream cast or an mp3 player.

One chance, I got this HTC HD2 (leo) and it is supposed to get the windows phone update. So ill try .

Today I received a parcel from hong kong. The guys over at Deal Extreme get their stuff from there.

I got this Bluetooth keyboard for about 20 Euros. And I know you could get it cheaper elsewhere. But Hey w.t.h right ?
So let`s start the review of this thingie.

Bluetooth supported (but as you can see not much blue there)
Dimensions
With        5.5 Inch
Length        2.8 Inch
Height        0.3 Inch

The reason I got this device is the crappy OSSK on the HTC HD2 it works but really you have to be cairfull and concentrate.
For real. when sending text messages I still get remarks/replies like “what does rttfllg mean” and puud day to you to”

So got the thing, unwrapped it. Flipped in 2 aaa batteries.

Now on the upper right on the keyboard is a little button that says “connect” For those of you who still believe Bluetooth is some kind of magic “like the replicators of the enterprise” and works right out of the box, you`re wrong !!
Right, that said. Press the button and go to your mobile, pc, whatever. And start searching for devices. It should find a device named “keyboard” (how convenient)
When you select it it will initiate the pairing process. And you get the messages that you have to type some random code on your freshly unwrapped keyboard from honkong.
It has a led at the front that indicates it is in pairing mode, and it stops flashing when pairing is successful
And than its DONE.. gratzz

This is the back of the device, nice and sturdy. Here you can see the battery compartment for two triple A batteries.
The annoying on off switch, which is by far, too small and the only way to switch the thing on and off is by some kind of pin or a key.

Also you can see the 4 rubber studs. And they aren’t made out of rubber but it’s a cheap cloth kind of material. So don’t expect this device to say where it is supposed to stay.

And the name OMG IRXON ?? really, we got something here that is a brand of cheap knock off stuff called XIRON.

Just take a look at this, its nicely crafted and a pleasure to work with. It does ! It fits nicely in my hands and I can reach all the buttons with my thumbs.

The keyboard.
There is one thing only one thing that could be better. And that would be the keys itself. The keys are made out of soft rubber.
So it doesn’t feel right when typing (or maybe it`s just a matter of getting used to)

OK lets sum this all up.

It does what it`s supposed to do. It`s CHEAP. WE love it over here !! It`s great if you use this for your media center of whatever as a great remote.
This Keyboard deserves A BEST BUY from our guys at TechNOdama.
